Today June 18, 2007 was my first day in the hospital. I got here at around 12:00 P.M. When I arrived I was starving. I asked one of the nurses if I could order food. She said it was ok. I decided to call the room service place but they said my name wasn't on the system yet. I was a little dissapointed but the nurse was nice enough to call the doctor and she told him. After that they had to get my weight. It was hard because they didn't know how to do it but we found out there was a wheelchair scale. After that my nurse took me to the Teen lounge. It was cool. They a PS2, XBOX 360, and a Nintendo Wii. When I came back they did X-rays. It was a little painful. One thing I didn't like was the tasteless food.

Today was my third day of being in the hospital. I slept much better. Of course I had to take the potasium, but I handled it.  At around 5:00 A.M they drew more blood. It was so easy this time. I couldn't beleive it. I woke up pretty early today. 7:00 AM. I ate some McDonalds for breakfast. It was gooooood. haha My Mom ate waffles.  I gave her my breakfast. She liked them. I drank two pinapple juices. My only favorite thing they give here. At around 9:00 AM a doctor came and told me that the ENT is going on vacation.  "I guess I can't have my surgery." I said. haha They said the ENT will be back until July. I have an appointment with him on July 12th to talk about the surgery. I ate BBQ chicken for lunch. After lunch, Dr. Doktor told me I could go home today.  I couldn't beleive it. He said my potasium went up a little bit. I still have to take it at home but in pills. I was happy to hear that. I saw a therepy dog. It came into my room and we took pictures. Her name was Haley.  Well right now it's 2:41 PM, the nurse took my IV off and we're just waiting for the discharge papers.

Yesterday I had an awesome Birthday party. It was the best I've had. A lot of my friends came. I got damn good presents including a lot $. It was so fun that words can't describe it. Look at these pictures from the party. Remember A picture tells a thousand words.

Hi, Sorry I haven't been able to make a big update bu here it is. Well Thursday I visited my Pulmonologist. It was a long long long long appointment . Well here's one thing I wasn't expecting, GOING ON A DIET. They saw that my cholesterol was high. They told told me not to eat any more fried foods. Ok I can go by not eating In-N-Out. (yeah right ) They said if I lose at least 15 pounds my breathing might go back to normal. We also talked about school. My doctor decided I should do homeschooling for a while because they want me to take it easy and stay healthy. I said cool, school three days a week, 1 hour and a half a day. AWESOME . Well that's all the medical news I have. Today when I checked my website there was about 150 new views and about 35 new guestbook signatures. I coundn't Believe it. It was all thanks to Mr. Vandam my fifth grade teacher. He assigned his whole class to check out my site for homework. lol Thanks Mr. Vandam. My site couldn't have reached 1544 views without you. Today I feel like giving a lot of thanks. I want to thank Mr. Tibbets for being my independent study teacher during the summer. Well go to go. I'm sleepy.

Yesterday was one of the funnest days in my life. I went to a Spanish TV show called "Estudio 2". It's like an American Idol type of show. They had live bands playing and many people competed by singing to win $500. I got to meet a very nice guy named Arturo Gil "Machete". He is very nice and we have a lot in common. Well I have to go. I have a lot of homework but here are some pictures.

Ah I'm exhausted. Today I woke up at 4:00 AM bleeding from my nose and mouth. It was awful. I bled for like 45 minutes and my parents rushed me to Children Hospital Los Angeles' ER. I've never felt so sick. The doctors sprayed some liquid in my nose to numb my nose and throat. The liquid tasted horrible. I felt like throwing up. The numbness was affecting my breathing. I felt like I was suffocating. I calmed myself down and It helped my breathing. It stopped my bleeding too. After that I felt like new. Right now I'm here trying to rest and my mom is buying beef stew. 

Today was a fun day. My mom took me to the La Zoo. It was so much fun. I haven't been there since easter. I really like going to the Zoo. They had a Halloween special today where they were giving candy, you could pet a insect or a snake, and they fed the animals pumpkins. My favorite animal they have at the Zoo is the Meerkat. They look similar to a prairie dog but better looking.  I only got to see one animal eat  pumpkin, The Otter. He wasn't really eatting it but playing catch with it. There were a lot of exhibits closed due to construction like the Elephant and Gorilla exhibit. At least I got see the Meerkat. I saw a stuufed meerkat and I bought. I'm also feeling much better than how I was feeling Friday. Well I have t go rest because my teacher is coming tomorrow at 10.  lol See you next time.

Today I got to meet one of my one of my favorite singers. He is Chingo Bling "The Tamale King Pin" He is a rapper. He is famous among many chicanos. I met him at the Latin Lingo Clothing store in the Northridge Mall. He was selling T-Shirts, CDS, Bobble Heads, and Chile. I had so much fun. I bought a shirt, a CD, and a Bobble Head. Hey Today was the day I got admitted here at UCLA to start my new treatment. Last night I couldn't really sleep thinking about today. I had to be here at 12:00 PM. I woke at 7:30 PM all nervous. The same nervousness gave me an upset stomach. My dad gave me an antacid tums before I ate breakfast. I felt much better and watching Spongebob got me motivated. My mom made me a slice of Red Baron pizza before leaving the house. We left our house at around 11:00 AM. When we got here we had to go to the admission office. We waited about 30 minutes then they called my mom into a cubicle to fill out paperwork. After that, we had to wait for someone to be discharged so I can take their room. We had to wait for about an hour. While we waited, we went to the cafeteria. They sell a lot of different foods there. I couldn't believe they sell El Pollo Loco. That's what I ate for lunch. I went into my room at around 1:45 PM. I got upset when I stepped into the room because I have to share the TV with my room mate. I've been using the computer since I got here. When my parents transfered me to bed, one of the nurses tried grabbing me. I was scared. They drew blood from me at around 2:30 PM. The lady who drew it was so nice and gentle. I tried watching TV while my room mate was sleeping but they don't have Nickelodeon. All they have is news stations.  An hour later they had to put the IV in. The woman who put it in was rude and rough. She tried twisting my hand but my dad told her not to do it. She said she knew what she was doing. She kept twisting it and I said "You know what, get someone else to do it." After I said that she became gentle. She put the IV in. At round 5:00 PM I was starving. I didn't know how to order food. Everybody orders the food since the morning but since I came late, there wasn't an order placed. I told my nurse I was hungry. She said she was going to order something for me. My parents were also hungry so my mom went to the cafeteria to buy something. When my food got here I was digusted.  It was a burger with a veggie/potato patty instead of meat. My mo bought me a BRC burrito I ate a little bit. I also ate Jello. Right now It's 8:04 PM, I'm drinking milk and waiting for the nurse to start the medicine. Theyr gonna have to draw blood frequenty to check my calcium level. Hopefully tomorrow is a better day.

Hey today was my 2nd day here in the hospital. Last night I couldn't really sleep. They drew blood like 4 times last night to check my calcium levels. It was a little hard because they had to draw the blood from the same hand. They would draw it from the IV but the nurse was afraid that it would blow it up since my veins are so sensitive. It took the pharmacy a while to get the medicine for the infusion. Before starting the infusion, I have to take Benadryl and Tylenol so I don't get an allergic reaction to the infusion. The Benadryl tastes nasty.  When the nurse started the infusion I was afraid that medicine would burn my veins, but I barely felt it going in. I didn't get any side effects. After that, the Benadryl knocked me out. At around 6:30 AM they had to draw more blood. Good thing the Benadryl was still in me because I fell asleep right after they drew the blood. They drew more blood at 7:00 AM. After that I couldn't sleep anymore. Breakfast arrived at around 8:00 AM. It was Eggs, Corn Flakes, and a banana. The eggs were tasteless.  After breakfast my dad arrived at around 10:00 AM. I stayed with him for a couple of hours while my mom when home to take a shower and rest for a little while. At around 10:30 they had to draw more blood. At 12:00 lunch arrived. It was turkey with gravy and bread, watermelon, and carrots. It was so good, my dad and I shared it. My dad and I watched music videos and the discovery channel online. We had so much fun. At around 3:00 PM my mom came back. She brought us some food. She bought tacos. mmmm They were so good. She also bought me a Spongebob Get Well Soon balloon. At 4:30 PM they drew more blood. At 5:00 PM they gave me Benadryl and Tylenol again.   My nurse gave me an Ice Cream so I don't have the nasty taste in my mouth. One of my doctor's fellows told me I might be able to go home tomorrow. At 5:30 PM the nurse started the infusion again. My dad left at 5:45 PM.  I didn't eat the dinner they brought me because I ate the tacos. My mom and I watched Ratatouile for a little while. At around 8:30 PM  I started to get sleepy because of the Benadryl. We only watched Ratatouile halfway. Right now It's 9:30 PM, the nurse stopped the infusion and I'm getting ready to go to sleep.

Hey. Today was the best day here in the hospital. I got blood drawn 4 times today. It was easy and it was my lat 4 times.  I woke up pretty early today. At around 7:00 AM. When I woke up I was starving. Breakfast arrived at around 8:15 AM.  I ate Raisin bran. It was good. At around 9:00 AM one of my doctors said I would be going home today, right after my last dose of the IV was over. The nurse started the IV at 10:00 AM. It takes 4 hours. While I  waited, I was talking to my aunts and my brother who visited me.  My aunt had got me "Surf's Up" the DVD as a gift. I was happy. At 12:15 PM. Lunch arrived. It was a turkey sandwich. I just ate the turkey. lol At 1:20 PM the doctors had the disharge papers ready. At 2:30 PM I was ready to go home.

Hi Everyone. Sorry I haven't been able to update my Site. I've been really busy with school and other stuff. Man I haven't updated in a long time. Well I guess I owe you all a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, Happy Valentines day, and Happy St. Patricks day. haha Well my holidays were great. Very busy, lots of good food and presents. Over X-mas break I went to Universal Studios. It was so much fun. I will post pictures later cause I'm about to play my new video game "Sega Superstar Tennis." On December 28th I went to see George Lopez at the Nokia LA Theater Live. He was so hillarious. So as you can see these picture, I went to Wizard World LA Comic Convention. It was fun. A lot of people went. I got to meet some great people. For Example: Former WWE Superstars Christy Hemme, Rob Vandam, and Mick Foley. Well I gots to go. I'll try to update more often. Bye

Hi Everyone. I'm back. I don't have anything new to say. Oh by the way, "Sega Superstar Tennis" is so fun. I played with my uncle for a while. He beat me three times. Also I watched the movie "Beowulf" yesterday with my dad. It's a must watch if you like action, gorey, movies with giant monsters cutting people in half so they can eat the insides. haha Anyways, I'm getting ready for tomorrow cause I'll be going to The LA Zoo again. It's going to be fun cause they're having a special easter event. This time I'll take lots of pictures. So come back on Sunday to see the pics. Happy Easter everyone.

Hi Everyone. Today I went to the zoo. At first I didn't feel like getting up but then I changed my mind. When I woke up I watched "Viva Pinata" for 1 hour. I tried to take a lot of pictures at the zoo but It was so hot, I stayed in the shade most of the times. I felt like I was going to faint. Anyways I was a bit disapointed cause I couldn't see the meerkats. They were sleeping in their little caves. My parents were able to see them. "lucky" This visit I was able to see two exhibits I didn't see back in October, Spider City and Campo Gorrila Reserve. I wasn't able to take pictures of them. I'm so sorry. The exhibits were so cool. We rode on the tram. It was a bit boring cause you only get to see like four animals and the driver drives too fast. So when we got too hot and hungry, we ate some nachos supreme with beef.  Since I couldn't see the gorrilas I bought a gorrila stuffed animal and my dad also bought me a chimp stuffed animal as an early easter present.  It was so cute, It looks like Curious George. The animals I was able to see were: Chimps, Flamingos, Crocodiles, Seals, Kangaroos, Gazelle, a Pig, and Spiders. I was always on the hurry to find a shade.  I was also able to take pictures with a "Goldfish" from Goldfish Crackers and the Easter Bunny. When I took the picture with the Bunny, I got candy.  Well here I leave you with a couple of pictures. Hope you enjoy. When I got home we watched the movie "Beowulf" again. It's so good. Anyways after the movie my mom, dad, and I walked down the street where I live cause I felt like eating a teriyaki chicken bowl. We took "Lucky" my Guinea Pig with us on the walk. He loved the ride so much cause It was his first trip he's taken to the outside world.  

Happy Easter Everyone! Well yesterday didn't go out. It was too hot. I spent most of my day updating my site. As you can see I changed the template. Starting today March 24, 2008 my website's address will be www.gooddan21.com This is no longer a free website.  I am now the owner of this site I will be paying $100 a year for this site. Now there'll be more new features to keep you happy. Well today I will start a poll. Hey everyone. Today I went to Universal Studios. I've been wanting to go for a while now. I couldn't sleep last night thinking of how much fun I was going to have. I left my house at around 12:20 PM. I left late because I wanted the sun to cool down but it was really hot anyway. When I got there, I went directly to the store outside the park to buy trading pins. I bought a Spongebob lanyard of course, Jimmy Neutron April 2008 limited edition pin, a Shrek set of three pins, Spiderman set of four pins, and my aunt bought me a 2 in one Spongebob and Patrick pin. We were able to get the "Buy a Day Get the Rest of 2008 Free" pass. "Coming back next week. Just Kidding" I was able to take lots of pics. When I saw The Simpsons, Bart gave me a poster autographed by him, Homer, Marge, and Lisa. After that we walked around the whole park looking for photo ops with characters. At around 3:00 PM My Mom, My Aunts and I were starting to get hungy. We decided to eat at The Flintstone's BBQ. Their BBQ Ribs were ok. After we ate, My aunts went on the Studio Tour while my Mom and I waited for "The Universal's Animal Actors" show to start. My aunts ended up coming out of the tour right when the show started. When the show ended one of the staff members told my mom, my aunts, and I to wait a little while in our seats. When everyone left one of the animal trainers brought one of the "Animal Actors," Archie the Orangutan. He was so cute. Poor little guy was worn out from all the shows and the heat. I was able to take pictures with him. He seemed very interested in My wheelchair, mask, and I.  On my way out of the show a staff member wanted to trade pins with me. I gave her my Fiona pin for her Plankton pin. Later on my way to "The House of Horrors" another staff member really wanted my Jimmy Neutron April 2008 limited edition pin. I gave her that pin for her Spongebob and Patrick Ying and Yang pin.  I didn't want to trade my Jimmy Neutron April 2008 limited edition pin. I had to buy another on my way out. Before leaving my aunt and mom went in "The House of Horrors". When they came out they seemed very scared. Well that was my trip to Universal Studios. i everyone. Well today was a pretty awesome day, well most of it is. I had a dentist appointment in the morning. I had to go all the way to Children's hospital in LA for the appointment. I used to have a dentist near my house but they stopped attending me cause they were nervous about doing dental work while having my Bi-Pap on. In CHLA their specialized in kids similar to me that's why I have to go there. So on my to the hospital I heard that the famous Reggaeton duo Wisin y Yandel were going to be in town giving away free gas. They said to stay tuned to know at what gas station they were gonna be at. I really wanted to go but I was worried they were gonna announce the location while I was at the dentist. It took the dentist so long to call my name. I was in the waiting room for about an 30 minutes. After I got called I came out fast. They told me to come back another day. When I got in my car Wisin y Yandel were on their way to the gas station. It took them a while to say the location though. I was almost getting home when the DJ said, "Wisin y Yandel will be at the 76 gas station on Victory and Platt". I couldn't believe that they were going to be so close to my house. My parents were so nice that they took me. Wisin y Yandel were very nice. They said in a future song they're gonna mention my name. Hey I'm back everyone. I've been so busy lately. with school, doctor appointments and other stuff. I'm so tired right now. Yesterday was so much fun. My mom and I went to see a soccer game at The Home Depot Center. We went to see the Chivas USA play against the New York Red Bulls. Before entering the stadium I went to the Team LA store to buy a Chiva Fighter stuffed animal. A lot of people went. The game was sponsored by Disneyland. We left early because they were gonna have a lot of pre-game activities. Since Disney was sponsoring the game they were giving out free  Toy Story Mania car flags. 30 minutes before the game started there was a pre-game concert. The performers were The Majors, Rigo Luna, and La Sinfonia. I couldn't believe they were there. I got to take pictures with them and some of the Chiva Girls. On our way to our seats, I got two Toy Story Mania car flags, a mini air horn, and a Chivas USA Cap. Well the game was very exciting but they ended up in tie. Here are some pics. 

I'm back everyone. It's 10:38 PM right now and I'm tired. I'm tired because today I went to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS! I've been wanting to go for about a month. I was gonna go on June 1st but there was a fire in The Studio Backlot. Today it was a fast trip. We left at about 3:25 PM. We left late cause we didn't want to go during the heat. There was not many people since it was a weekday. We got there at about 4:00 PM. There was a nice breeze. I got to see Lucy on my way to see Donkey. She was very nice. After I talked to her, we went to sit on a bench that was right next to Donkey's Waffle Wagon. When he came out he remembered me from last time. It was funny. I filmed a video of him sending a shout out to all you people who visit my site. After having a chat with Donkey I decided to take a picture with Shrek and Fiona. Fiona was very nice and pretty.  Shrek kept trying to tickle me with his big hand. Since I like Donkey and Shrek, my mom, my aunts, my grandma, and I decided to go to the Shrek 4D attraction. When we entered my grandma and I were a bit scared cause it was so dark inside. During the movie I was laughing because of the way it looks with the 3D glasses. I had to take my Bi-Pap off to be able to see with the glasses. On my way out I took pictures with Spongebob and Curious George. We also went to see the Animal Actors show, Woody and Friend's Musical performance, and I also took pictures with Dracula. It was so much fun, to bad I didn't see the Madagascar Penguins. Hi everyone. Yesterday was the best, best BEST day of my life. I got to meet my favorite actor and comedian George Lopez. I got to go to the Spanish radio La Nueva 101.9 FM. I had to be there early. I got up at 5:30 AM. George was there because the radio's DJ Piolin was going to interview him. They had invited me to go. I wrote a letter to George and read it on the air. I was nervous. George really liked it. When I read the letter I was not in the same room as George though.  When the  radio's producer took me into the room where everyone was I got very emotional and George was surprised and emotional too. I couldn't believe I was finally meeting him. There were lots of cameras filming the moment. It was a dream come true. I will never forget this day. Thank you George and Everyone who made this day possible.
 

Today my mom took me to Universal Studios for my birthday. I had so much fun.

Today I had my Birthday party at West Valley Park.

Today my aunt Amparo gave birth to her baby girl. She was born at Northridge at 12:03 PM. The baby's name is Jennifer Daniela. She weighed 7 lb 8 oz. After deliver, my aunt was worried because they didn't let her the baby. A couple hours my uncle Dagoberto wemt to see the baby at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit "NICU". She was in the NICU because she had to be entubbated because she was born with a Ventricular Septal Defect "VSD" and crossed arteries which causes her heart not to pump enough blood to her lungs causing her to have problems breathing. My aunt was devastated when she saw her baby with all the tubes. The doctors say she might breath better by surgically opening the VSD so the heart can pump the blood to the lungs through the VSD .

Today my mom went to visit my baby cousin Jennifer at the hospital. She is doing a little better. Her Endotracheal tube "ET Tube" was removed and she looks so cute. My mom told me she cries a lot cause she's hungry but the nurses said that they're not allowed to feed her. And since she has trouble breathing, every time she cries she turns purple. They have her on IV but she's still hungry. All they can do is get her pacifier and dip it in sugar water. She sucks on it like it's a bottle with milk. I wish we could just go ahead and give her milk.

Hi everyone. I'm here tired but good. This weekend my baby cousin was transfered to Cedars Sinai in an ambulance. Today we visited. My mom, dad, grandma, aunt, and I went to visit her. We all went since she's scheduled to have open heart surgery in 3 days and they were going baptize her. The baptism took place in her Pediatric Intensive Care Unit "PICU"room. My mom and dad were the godparents. It was a nice ceremony. I felt like crying. I told my mom "Jennifer is the cousin that lives the closest to us. I love her. I want her to be better so I can play with her. I don't want to lose her." Here are some pictures from two days ago and today.
